Rebecca

So I had a shoot this weekend with a young lady named Rebecca. I asked Rebecca to model for me and happily, she did. I want to add that this is possibly the best model I have worked with. She made my job so much easier and I am excited to work with her again sometime soon. So on another note,  I had this idea of using an old cocktail dress of my great grandmothers. Now,  I had Rebecca sport the dress just to kind of test it out but the photo below is not how I was planning to use the dress. I had this whole scheme and picture embedded in my head.  I won't go into detail about how I pictured this because I am still planning to do it. But here are my favorite shots from the shoot and click on the pictures to view large.

The Competition Begins

So here is where I begin my journey as a developing photojournalist or fashion photographer. Or I guess you could say, here is where the competition between the two begin. I shot a young lady, Wendy, yesterday who I asked to model for me because it has been almost 4 months since I last shot! I know, it’s sad. I am surprised these pictures came out as well as they did. Surprisingly, Wendy has never really modeled before. But she did an excellent job and hopefully we will be able to shoot again in the near future. Let me know what you think!

Here we gooo

Photojournalism vs. Fashion
I have a big decision to make over the next year. I know these subjects are complete opposites, but I have a love for both. I know I should follow my heart but how do I know that what i’m following is or isn’t coming from the heart?

I have done much photography in the past within both fields but I figured it would be better if you judged me as a photographer based on the work I am doing now rather than the work I did within my recent past ;)

Oh, and p.s. here i am:
